Bobbi Brown in Town!

Bobbi Brown's Bronzing Powder is the newest addition to my ever growing (although it's needs to stop growing) bronzer collection.

When I tried it on in the store, I liked what I saw. The Sales Associate matched me to Dark. I thought I would have been Deep. Apparently the difference isn't in the depth of the color, but instead the undertones. Dark is more red, and Deep more golden; the yellow in Deep could have come off as ashy.

When I got home I tried it on half of my face over my MAC Select Tint. I like it if there is a bronzyness, it is very subtle. I should add that this is a matte product, without any shimmer. I love the finish of the product however. I'd like to keep it as a option for a finishing powder, because I don't always like to use my Prescriptives Magic powder, especially now that I've gotten toasty. I haven't noticed a problem with it per say but I am very cautious with it. And I have backed off of my Px Custom Blend Bronzer for the time being because it is probably the lightest of my bronzers and I don't want to look ashy. It's on the Disabled List until September.

Anyway, as I was saying, I like the finish of the powder. I think the bronze factor may be more evident with my tan fades sometime later this summer. I decided to compare this bronzer to my all time favorite Stila Sun #3. I applied it all over to the other side of my face, and realized that it is really subtle as well. It has a slight shimmer and you could see that, but it had the lightest touch of a glow. I love it, and it gives you the option to layer more prominent, shimmery bronzers over it. So I think I will keep this one, and layer other bronzers with it. What do you all think?

I haven't tried it but I think I might, after reading your review. But not until september. I'm not wearing any makeup this summer. It's way too hot to even try.

^^ I can understand that, but not even eye makeup?

Bobby Brown is in my wishlist. Her palettes are so pretty!!

Like Lbic lately, I haven't been wearing much make-up, a little bit of eye and lip and gel bronzers...it is so hot by the time, i go from the apt to the car, half of it is melted :( :(

lol yeah the celtics are sooo freaking good! they have really good defense! i don't know how the lakers let that game slip through their fingers!! lol.

@ Lily, I've seen worse deficits over come in less time. But it's pretty much over for the Lakers, no team has ever come back from a 3-1 record in the playoffs. But then the same was true when the Red Socks were in the World Series a few years back, and they are the only team to have ever come back like that in baseball, so anything is possible really.

HELLO THERE! THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY MY PAGE ;] NOW THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION, I THINK AVON MAKEUP ARE AWESOME, AS FAR AS EYESHADOWS, MASCARA, & THEIR GLAZEWEAR LIPSTICKS. THEIR EYESHADOWS ARE LOVELY, ALL YOU NEED (LIKE OTHER HIGH END PRODUCTS), IS A GOOD BASE. I DON'T LIKE ANY OF THEIR LIP PLUMPING LIPSTICKS BECAUSE THEY'RE A BIT TOO DRY FOR ME, MAYBE THEY'RE GOOD IF YOU ADD MOISTURIZER FIRST OR LIPGLOSS OVER IT. BUT THEIR GLAZEWEAR LIPSTICKS ARE VERY AWESOME. OVERALL, I THINK IT'S WORTH INVESTING YOUR MONEY IN INSTEAD OF SPENDING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON BRANDED COSMETICS THAT MAYBE SIMILAR.

I went to the Bobbi Brown counter yesterday and didn't see this. I'll keep my eye out for it next time to go.

Hey twinkle, I just saw your blog and it's really helpful. I'm searching for a good bronzer, but I found out my skin is really sensitive and I couldn't wear a lot of things out there. I'm wondering if you could post the ingredients to bobby brown bronzer if you have it. That will help me a lot before I order it. I'm NC45, do you think deep will be my best bet? And have you ever tried Ester Lauder bronzer?

I also tried Iman bronzer in sand, but I ended up putting it in the trash. It was breaking up and falling apart. Maybe I should have tried it in clay. Thanks for everything. I know I'm asking you a lot of question, But what company would you say make the best bronzer, which one is your favorite?

Hey twinkle, don't worry about posting the Bobbie brown ingredients for the bronzer. I bought it today, but will be returning it.

^^ Sad to hear that it didn't work for you. It does have talc. I was going to post and mention that, so probably not good for sensitive skin. Maybe you should try using a miner
